The tale begins with Absolute Zero
when Tom our photographer hero
slips off for a smoke
then thinks it's a joke,
just beginning his journey of pure woe.
where Ellen to her stolen life still clings
Help her he must
but she betrays his trust
then learns the penalty failure brings
The Incredible Derek cannot see
with his eyes like you and like me
but inside his head
he sees Tom's story with dread
and urgently begs him to flee.
There truly was Something About Her a chemical, hypnotic
allure
without her he'd die,
the mere thought made him cry
but it's Karin whose death became sure.
Paradise on Your Doorstep seemed fine
with flowers and endless sunshine
but in a dark, smelly jail
the dissenters did pale
for the sin of not toeing Paul's line.
When Tom entered The Spider Webb his confidence began to ebb
How did they know
what to put in the show?,
but the tables were turned on Max Webb.
Scott breathed A Rough Whimper of Insanity
as Tom tried to teach him the inanity
of always staying inside
his house trying to hide
from the world and all its inhumanity.
That boy Kyle in The Alpha Spike
was really a terrible tyke
he framed Tom for rape
but his voice went on tape,
persuading Sheriff Wade to let Tom hike.
Gus saved Tom in You Really Got a Hold on Me
then pulled a gun to ensure that he not flee
Tom refused to go,
but found he must know
how Gus learned so much of his history.
Tom went searching for his Father in Missouri,
but since he'd failed before in his inquiry
when hired a detective he had,
he feared it wasn't his dad,
the fallen photograph remaining a mystery.
A shot felled Tom in An Enemy Within,
Emily saved him with a bit of chagrin
She implored him at last
to leave his old life in the past,
their parting so soon seemed a sin.
It's Not Such a Wonderful Life
reunited Tom with his wife
They tried a new tack
giving his life back.
Oh, the cruelty here was so rife.
A Voice played with Tom in Contact,
using jealousy Grace's death to enact.
Tom would not kill,
but he hadn't the will
to leave behind the computer filled with "fact."
Tom played soldier in Heart of Darkness
and soon found himself in a real mess
Quinn couldn't call his bluff
but tried to play rough
only to die for Tom and Gary's egress.
Forever Jung had tempting appeal
Pauline grasped it with zeal.
Assassins they'd mold
who'd never grow old.
Could any of this possibly be real?
Flying saucers in Shine a Light on You
were accepted by most witnesses as true.
Helen thought they'd taken her dad,
but he was really a cad,
accepting her death with Tom's, too.
Stay Tuned for the Hometown Network
the programs have one tiny quirk
That bright spinning sun
has quickly passed on
their thoughts in our minds to lurk.
Hidden Agenda seemed to tell Tom's story
an account somewhat lacking in glory
but as Hale felt death's grasp
"It's not real!" he could gasp
leaving Tom in the clearing so sorry.
Doppleganger found Tom in trouble
when he stumbled across his double
He escaped their trap
as Tom two took the rap,
and the damn palmtop was turned into rubble.
Through a Lens Darkly showed Tom's deepest pain
forcing him to live Laura's death once again
He seemed to be broken
but the truth was awoken
her love for his pursuit of the truth didn't wane.
Dark Side of the Moon was brutal and stark Crossing the Mack
boys is hardly a lark
but Tom risks all kinds of strife
for the negatives are his life,
led by Corrina's voice through the night dark.
Insomnia leads Tom back to Calaway/b>,
so clear in his mind from his first stay
It's really a shock
to find JC his doc,
a cruel game the Organization chose to play.
Tom woke up in the hospital in Zero Minus Ten
three months in a coma they claimed at an end
It seems that Alyson his wife
was never part of his life
and sadly on his way he must wend.
In Marathon Tom found a clue
then scurried to save Jenny Tsu
our hero never faltered
when told the photo had been altered,
seeking to find out what's true.
Gemini worked for Robman in the FBI
and seemed to have Tom's work in his eye.
Tom acts with brute force
then feels horror course
as Barton claims Tom is really Gemini.
We all love the show Nowhere Man
which mystified many a fan
but the powers that be
its worth couldn't see
and a wonderful show they did can.
